The Eureka flag is often referred to as the "Southern Cross".The Eureka Stockade rebellion lasted almost 20 minuted as barely armed and poorly organised gold miners stood fast against 300 well armed, well trained and disciplined police and colonial troops. The Eureka flag means many things to many Australians and I simply prefer to recognise the Eureka flag as a symbol of justice for all Australians.
